During the widely speculated health care summit on Thursday, Rep. Slaughter (D-NY) told an emotional story about one of her constituents who wore her dead sister's dentures because she could not afford her own. While normal human beings would feel compassion for the woman,
see what these Republicans said:
Rush Limbaugh: "So if you don't have any teeth, so what? What's applesauce for?"
Glenn Beck: "I've read the Constitution before. I didn't see that you had a right to teeth."
Jim Hoft: "Will Obamacare buy me a gold tooth in the front of my mouth with a little heart on it?""
Michelle Malkin: "We need trillion-$ Demcare cuz someone had to wear their sister's dentures!"
GOP has not only proved that they don't care about uninsured people, but they don't care about
unemployed people either.
My question is why Democrats are still bothering with this bipartisan nonsense when it clearly won't get them any
where. Rolling Stone contributer Matt Taibbi puts the differences of the two parties into a perfect analogy:
"They have one major stylistic difference: Republicans are unafraid to exercise power, while Democrats try to run government like one of those pansy-ass T-ball leagues, where every kid gets to have a hit, nobody loses, and nobody has to go home with an ouchie or hurt feelings."
